It is planned that in the closest time the General Director of the State Corporation “Rosatom” Alexey Likhachev will make personal business visit to the Republic.

It will be recalled that in September 2018 the countries signed the intergovernmental cooperation agreement within the framework of construction of the NPP with two “3+” generation power units under the Russian Design with 1.2GW capacity reactor plants (with possible further extension and duplication of the plant output).

In 2019, an agreement between JSC OES and the Agency for development of atomic energy of Uzbekistan (“Uzatom” Agency) was reached and a JV UzOES (uzoes.uz) was founded with the aim of the more efficient realization of the Project due to reaching the max. level of CEW localization as well as to continuous exchange of experience and technologies.

Nowadays Orgenergostroy carries out comprehensive engineering survey at the selected construction site.
