In 2019, a contract was signed between the Joint Stock Company Institute “Orgenergostroy” and LLC “VGK Transport Systems” for the implementation of work within the framework of the project for the construction in the Uglegorsk region of Sakhalin, the longest in Russia main coal conveyor “Solntsevsky coal mine - coal seaport "Shakhtersk".

In order to reduce the negative impact on the environment, a closed-type conveyor gallery will be built, and in places where coal is reloaded, an aspiration system will be installed using modern dust-collecting equipment, in addition, to minimize the noise background emanating from the conveyor equipment and its units, specialized noise protection will be applied.

It is planned that after the conveyor is put into operation, the volume of coal transportation between the mine and the port will increase by 2 times and reach 20 million tons / year, at the same time, annual CO2 emissions will decrease by 176 thousand tons.

The conveyor structures will cross a total of about 20 water barriers, 33 roads, 26 power lines.

At the moment, Orgenergostroy is carrying out key work on the installation of elevated spans of the conveyor gallery and the construction of transfer stations. Also pile and concrete work is being carried out, as well as a full range of works on acceptance, unloading, transportation and preparation for installation of equipment for the conveyor line.

The work is carried out in difficult climatic and geological conditions, around the clock.
